My Vision

 

We are all created and uniquely made.  No two individuals are the same and no diet or workout plan works for everyone.  Take a good look in the mirror and decide if you love the person looking back at you.  You are the main character in your story, and you are worth being taken care of.  Your body is God's temple; honor, love, and cherish it.  Decide today to change your behavior and allow me to be your guide to work towards the body you love and deserve.

My Story

 

I was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, and grew up as a competitive swimmer and ultimately taught and coached swimming.  I liked swimming, but what I really loved was weightlifting!  I started lifting in the 6th grade and have been hooked ever since.  Growing up, I never questioned my body or worried about the food I ate.  Fitness was ingrained in me; and no matter how busy life got, I always had to complete a workout to feel normal.

Like all folks, I have suffered my fair share of tragedies.  I never thought I would struggle with losing 20 pounds in college and then become "skinny fat" later in life.  I thought resistance training and cardio alone would build a strong lean body.  I couldn't have been more wrong.  I finally realized that despite my hard work in the gym, I was not seeing the results I desperately craved.  Once I started my education in nutrition, I began applying my newfound knowledge to my own body.  I changed my eating habits by swapping processed foods for nutrient-dense alternatives, cleaned out and organized my entire kitchen, and tracked my macronutrient ratios consistently.  After turning 40, I found myself, for the first time since my swimming days, feeling confident and comfortable in my own skin.  Nutrition was how I lost fat, built muscle, and fueled my body for optimal performance.  I never thought learning nutrition would impact my life in so many ways.  While I am still a work in progress, my drive to keep pushing forward remains stronger than ever.    

 

In college, I was the classic party girl—late nights, drinks, junk food, and that ‘freshman 15’ (more like 20) hit hard. After graduation, I tried to ‘diet it off’ and ended up skinny fat: smaller, but soft, weak, no muscle definition, tired, and frustrated. I finally ditched the quick fixes, learned how to fuel my body with macros, and trained with intention. Little by little, year by year, I built real muscle, lost fat, and turned my party-girl past into a stage-ready physique. From beer pong to bikini stage, proof that you CAN rewrite your story with discipline and smart nutrition.

Our world is stressful and fast-paced and everything is at our convenience.  Applying nutrition can be challenging and it took me a long time of trial and error to figure out what worked.  This process was frustrating and sometimes scary, and that is why this business was started.  Getting fit doesn't have to be a struggle and having someone who knows what you are going through makes all the difference in the world.  It should be a learning experience and a fun experiment to see what works and what doesn't.  Your body has a mind of its own and once you learn to listen to it the journey really begins!  You too can be healthy and confident with nutrition and strength.  â€‹

- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wyoming.

- PN L1 Certified Nutrition Coach:  to coach nutrition using the Precision Nutrition methodology.

Hobbies

- Weightlifting, volleyball, backpacking, scuba diving, swimming, hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, piano, walking my huskies and watching movies.

- Bikini competitor/bodybuilder

- I am happily married with 2 boys, 3 huskies, and 2 cats.  I have a passion for God, the wilderness, weightlifting, and nutrition.  I want to learn more and teach others.
